0 Predators Beat Kings Second Time This Season

By Justin Koehn
The Predators held off the defending Stanley Cup champion L.A. Kings in their second time to meet this season. This marks the fourth game in a row the Preds have won a game in regulation, looking better and better each game. Colin Wilson was once again dominating in front of the goal burying two goals after Gabriel Bourque's first goal to get the momentum running.

Pekka Rinne was in beast mode throughout the entire game as he blocked all 32 shots he faced. Nashville was only able to get 14 shots on goal, but were able to capitalize on those better than L.A shooting over twice as many. Rinne has not allowed an even strength goal in over four games. Since the last time the Predators played L.A on January 31st, Rinne has faced 115 shots and only allowed 3 of those through. He has also been able to keep all of those opponents in those games to one goal or less.

After the win last night, the Predators now have 13 points on a 5-2-3 record. This places them ahead of St. Louis at second in the central division, fifth in the conference, and tenth in the league. Chicago still sits in first place in the central with 20 points. Nashville will play Chicago on Sunday night at home, but not before they meet with Minnesota again in The Xcel Energy Center on Saturday night.
